Your Celebration

Nestled just outside Madison, Wisconsin, The Oaks offers an upscale golf course wedding and event venue that harmoniously blends grandeur and natural beauty. Our premiere space and exceptional amenities will leave a lasting impression on your guests while capturing the magic of your unforgettable celebration.

Conveniently located off I-94 with easy access from anywhere, The Oaks Golf Course is an easy trip for all local guests – a short 15-minute drive from the Dane County Airport and a quick one-hour drive from General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee.

Our Space

Choose The Oaks as the ideal setting for your picture-perfect wedding or event. Overlooking well-manicured meadows, our expansive 6,300 square-foot private outdoor event center is available from mid to late April through October and can seat more than 350 guests. We’ll welcome your party with grand double French doors, stunning chandeliers, ceiling fans/heat lamps to control the temperature and a polished concrete flooring that adds a touch of modern sophistication.

Say “I do” in front of friends and family at our charming 2,000-square-foot outdoor ceremony space just steps from the event center. This versatile space can also serve as additional dinner seating or a cocktail reception area with breathtaking views.

On-site Wedding & Events Planner

At The Oaks, leave the details up to our talented and professional hospitality team. You will have an experienced onsite wedding and event coordinator to ensure every detail is meticulously planned and executed so you can simply enjoy your celebration and make memories.

Food & Beverage

At The Oaks, you have the luxury of crafting your own menu with a reputable caterer of your choice. If needed, our event coordinator will gladly provide you with a list of recommended area caterers.

All caterers must have a valid food license and insurance. Caterers are responsible for:

  • Loading, setup, cleanup and removal of all goods, equipment, furniture and supplies.
  • Cleaning the tent area thoroughly.
  • Providing all dishes and flatware required for the meal, including water glasses and water table service.

Our agreement will specify a time when all goods, equipment, furniture and supplies can be brought into our facility. It will also include a time when these items must be removed.

The Oaks will provide a fully staffed and licensed bar, included in your rental agreement, with customizable hosted refreshments packages to suit any budget or taste. We also supply all bar supplies and glassware.

Investment

Discover the value of hosting your celebration at our golf course event venue.

  • Contract Fees: Costs include 30 round banquet tables (60-inch diameter, seat 8), 15 8-foot tables for place cards, gifts, buffets, etc., and 250 white resin or brown fruitwood chairs for up to 250 guests. Additional tables and chairs can be rented and added to your final invoice. The Oaks will provide full setup and takedown of tables and chairs.
    • At Contract Signing: $2,500 non-refundable reservation fee which will be deducted from the total contract price
    • 60 Days Before Event: The remaining contract balance is to be paid in full, plus a separate check for the security deposit
  • Facility Fees: The cost includes the main ballroom pavilion, ceremony space and catering kitchen
    • Friday – Sunday: $5,900 
    • Monday – Thursday: Please contact our event coordinator for pricing
  • Damage Deposit: A deposit of $500 in the form of a check is required when the contract balance is due in full. The check, made payable to The Oaks Golf Course, will either be cashed for damages incurred or returned in full ten days after the event. Failure to pass inspection will result in a charge assessment and be deducted from the deposit. If the charge exceeds the deposit, the contract signer will be billed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the contracted rental period?

The rental time is sixteen hours, which is adequate for most events. As you plan your celebration, please allow time for both setup and cleanup. Additional fees may be assessed if your event goes beyond the allotted time.

Is there an additional fee for a wedding rehearsal?

Two hours of rehearsal time (not decorating) are provided to you at no cost. The rehearsal will be scheduled on a date before the wedding and may not be on the specific day or evening before the event date.

Does The Oaks provide setup of decorations or table settings?

You are responsible for decorating your tables. Linens, napkins, flowers, decorations, candles, chair coverings and ties can be set up by you or your vendors at a specified time before your event.

The Oaks Golf Course would be happy to set up your decorations for a small fee. An estimate will be given 60 days before the event once all details have been decided. We can also provide and set up linens, napkins, chair coverings, and ties if you choose.

What is your policy regarding flowers and decorations?
Florists and/or decorators are responsible for:

  • Loading, setup, cleanup and removal of decorations, supplies and furniture.
  • Disposing of trash in the appropriate receptacles located at the rear of the building.
  • Ensuring no open candles/candlesticks. All candles must be enclosed with glass or a surround higher than the candle when used on tabletops. We recommend using LED candles. When the tent center is open, the air may blow out votive candles.
  • Informing us if you plan to use very large arrangements or interior fountains, so we can provide appropriate security and maintenance.

Our agreement will specify the time when all goods, equipment, furniture and supplies can be brought into our facility. It will include a time when these items must be removed.

Does The Oaks have any restrictions?

Your safety and the safety of your guests is our primary concern. To assure the well-being of your guests and preserve our facility, we have instituted the following policies:

  • Materials such as rice, confetti, glitter, sparklers/fireworks, silly string, birdseed and floating lanterns are prohibited. Bubbles may be used outside only.
  • Helium or gas tanks must be placed in a non-public area to ensure safety.
  • The event coordinator must approve any modifications to the light fixtures and electrical connections.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the event center but is allowed outside the tented structure. Ashtray receptacles will be provided. (Please note, additional fees will be assessed and deducted from your security deposit if receptacles are not used or if smoking occurs within our building.
